Added 2021-07-13 07:25:41 +0000 UTCInjury Alert! On June 2nd, I slipped on the wet grass while taking out the garbage and ruptured the quad tendon of my left leg. I won't lie, it was extremely painful and (unfortunately) required surgery. I wish I had a more exciting story of my accident than the mishap resulting from a basic household chore. Nonetheless, this just proves the simplest of accidents can cause the greatest of injuries. The doctor scheduled me for surgery on June 11th and it was a success. The incision required numerous staples and the leg had to be kept immobilized and elevated for a short period of time. On June 24th, I had the staples removed from my leg and began the long road of physical therapy and recovery. I've included 8 photos and 1 video in this post to better illustrate this journey. The first 4 photos are of me in the hospital the night the injury occurred. The 5th photo is of me right before surgery. The 6th photo (and video) were taken the day I got my staples out. The 7th photo was on the day I had doggy therapy with Apollo, a one-year old labradoodle. And the last photo is of me up and moving around. (Check out those abs...keeping fit for my fans despite the injury.) I'm quite thankful for the "get well" wishes and words of encouragement from my fans. I'll be sure to keep you all posted on my progress. I'm hoping to be back in the studio for my next photoshoot within a couple of weeks.
