I just realized I could no longer be in a relationship where I was no longer in love for a very long time. I finally figured out that I need physical touch, affirmation, and intimacy to “feel “ love. I knew early in our 26 yr relationship that I never was going to get that from him, but I chose to stay because we got along well. Actually, the relationship was more of roommates. We still remain friends. I still think he is a great man and would make another woman very happy, just was not the right man for me 🙂. Don’t sacrifice yourself in a relationship and stick around because it’s comfortable and scary the thought of leaving 😘.
