New year, new story, amiright? (; Alright, here we go. I won't be responding until tomorrow but here is the beginning. Please make your responses on this post in the comments. You open your eyes and the first thing you notice is the cold. You feel the cold on your cheeks and see the puff of smoke coming from your warm breath. And then you feel it everywhere else. You feel the cold on your back, neck, legs, etc. You sit up, brushing the snow off of your back and shoulders, only to find that you have awoken in an unfamiliar land covered in snow and ice. It appears to be nearing sunset, the sun getting lower in the yellow and grey cloud-streaked sky. Despite the snow and ice all around you, it is quite beautiful. Further in the distance, behind you, you see ice-covered trees and vegetation leading up to mountains. In front of you, you see what looks like an empty landscape for miles, except for the ice- and snow-covered ground. You seem to be alone but give me a perception check.
