When my mom asked, I told her, “When we could afford a bigger home, we moved in with the intention of raising our kids and hosting get-togethers. The pineapple is a symbol of hospitality and prosperity.” But, as you are likely aware, the upside down pineapple is also a symbol for the swinger lifestyle. My tattoo, however, is not limited to swinging. In 2018 I had a sexual epiphany: I’m allowed to like what I like - it doesn’t make me a bad person. That realization opened the doors to so many wonderful sexual opportunities to explore and indulge. So the pineapple is also my symbol for finding my sexual confidence and self acceptance.
