Added 2021-05-02 00:23:34 +0000 UTCIn my early days, when I was a youthful and exuberant painter, filled with want and passion, brimming with fantasies of distant sunrises, open fields and brilliant gardens bursting with such colours that my brush strokes were frenzied slashes as I made haste to capture every colour, every shade and highlight… colour seeped out of my pores and I had no need for a Muse. In time I made the mistake of growing up. Sunrises changed to commutes, fields paved over, gardens withered and colours lost their potency. Then she appeared. I don't know who invited her or how she came to know about the private art showing at my home, but if there is a Goddess of the muses then surely she sent this muse to me.
