Added 2022-11-30 07:40:01 +0000 UTC๐ YELLOW ๐ป (a bit of a long writing. sorry๐) Yellow is the colour of the sun, of happiness, cheerfulness. Yellow is fun, but also of the mind and intellect. It is a striking colour that enhances creativity. It is the happiest and friendliest colour in the rainbow. I often wonder how can businesses that is doing so well eventually just whither and die. This private nature reserve where these photos were taken, was once bustling with campers. We arrived there a long time ago unannounced and they had one camp site for us! The last one out of 105 camping sites! They were completely booked. They also have a smaller one that has 12 camping sites but that of course was full. But from there it just went downhill. Every time we got there, there were less and less campers. The last time we saw a lot of campers there was in December 2018. And boy were the campers complaining. The new swimming pools were too small. Why they took the big pools out I donโt know. And then they closed the mountain for vehicles. My husband personally went to the owner and asked him to keep the mountain open, but he just refused. Because of that we also abandoned the place for 18 months. And we sometime used to go 13 times a year! We heard via the grapevine that the mountain was open again, so we did go back again. What we found was so sad. The big camp, 105 camp sites, was permanently closed. The small camp site of 12 sites, usually sees only 3 or 4 campers over a weekend. The warm swimming pool โ gone. The bar โ gone. The restaurant โ gone. The small shop โ gone. The campers โ gone. I want to cry from frustration when I see the potential of this place. Potential wasted by an owner that doesnโt care one bit. I want to cry when I see how the owner and his manager (his wife), destroyed a bustling, vibrant, enjoyable and amazing camping site and nature reserve.
