Condition that happens in large breed dogs and WILL be fatal within a couple of hours if not immediately attended to. The stomach flips on itself, effectively blocking bl00d and oxygen flow to other organs. It’s extremely painful and distressing. I knew about this, thank god, so I knew to bring him to a vet immediately. The only way to fix this is with emergency surgery where they untwist the stomach and staple it to the abdominal wall. After a full night and day at the ICU, he is back home and closely monitored by me. If you know me you know my baby is everything so I couldn’t do much with myself waiting to hear if he was gonna pull through, but he made it, now wearing his little survivor crown.
