It’s been nothing short of crazy over here. A week ago I adopted 2 buns! Maple (Beige) and Opal (Gray). They are best friends and I'm very happy that they didn't have to be separated. I'm a first-time bunny mama so I've been figuring out how to best support them + train them with lots of trial and error! I hope that they will be at least partly 'free-roaming' once they are litter trained (I believe spaying them will help, and they are almost of-age for this). My initial plan was for them to live in a hutch in my garden shed (cuz ya know, very small cottage home over here), with ample time indoors for socializing... but of course I'm too attached and I want them where I can see them at all times. So the plan for now is to keep the hutch in the living room and baby-gate off areas for day time play. I'm also awaiting a larger play pen (they are too smart and have already figured out how to escape their first one...) My starchild* ('cat') KiKi is getting used to not being the only one in the house. The bunnies want to be friends with her, but she takes a bit to warm up. I'm really proud of her and I can't believe how sweet and curious she is. Most cats would have their predator instincts activated... But Keeks has no interest in hunting anything bigger than a fly. *KiKi is *hardly* a cat. She's of feline body but I swear she's a lil alien from another dimension.
