This song reminds me of the strength and connection to nature of my ancestors, and the eternal cycle of life represented by the World Tree. There is some evidence to suggest that nudity and nudity in social contexts were not considered particularly taboo in Viking culture. Some sagas and historical accounts describe instances of nudity in rituals and ceremonies, and there are also indications that nudity was used in certain types of physical labor, such as farming. As for naked male bonding, there were warrior societies, such as the berserkers, which were composed exclusively of men and were known for their fierce, battle-inspired rituals. Along with my Pictish ancestors, they would sometimes go train and go into battle naked, or scantily clad.
