***Why I don't do customs and haven't been posting as much as before:***
Sorry to everyone coming here looking for regular teasers and even less frequent posts on my main OF @torianoir.
The reason is pretty simple. I'm super busy and in tons of medical and credit debt. I am working on bringing those down and hope to be largely debt-free by early 2025. (Thanks to my parents not making me to pay rent, yay!)
My debt mostly started with a medical scare but thankfully is all okay now. I work a full-time job with irregular hours and schedules and a lot of responsibility. I sometimes receive work calls at 2-3 am for emergencies. Because of the irregularities in my schedule, my sleep schedule is weird and difficult to build content around.
Many asked why I didn't switch to OF full time and while the money is comparable the lack of insurance is the big reason why.
I am currently not doing customs because they don't offer me enough money and incentive to do it for the amount of time I'll likely have to spend on them. Instead of opting to maintain my main OF, sell things on online stores and my irl full-time job. I have several music channels for posting noncopyright stuff and I try to post a new thing once per week.
The last thing occupying my time is my second bedroom in my house is being renovated by me with my dad's help. I plan to turn it into a content room once it's done but given my hectic schedule and minimal handiwork experience, it's going at a slow pace lol. But it's almost done! I attached some pictures of what it was looking like step by step.
Had to remove some old 1960s wall panels. Instead of replacing the sheetrock (which I regret not doing due to how much work this was), we ended up sanding off the glue, patching the walls and painting it with some old blue paint as a cover-up. Then painted some primer on that and finally 2 coats of grey paint to hide many imperfections from the glue damage.
Removed all the old moulding, and doors, replaced the windows, painted the ceiling white, updated the 1950s electrical, added dimmer switches, and will be putting in a new ceiling fan.
We sanded the floor, coated and sealed it, and then put the new closet and main doors in with new moulding.
Left to do: patch moulding holes and finally paint moulding and doors. That's it! Almost there!!! And I'm excited to finally put it to use after nearly 3 months of work mostly by myself.
The theme I will be going with for the content room will be: Alchemist
Going to start working on some themed sets in the future and will change my room background and such as time goes on to keep things fresh.
While I shared most of my story on discord months ago I am so happy many of you stuck around even when I wasn't posting last year due to my depression, surgery and recovery and really must thank you for all the encouragement and support. The money helps but everyone chiming in the messages with support was the biggest help of all.
***So thank you!!***
Maybe in a few months, I'll start taking customs and if my advertising posts pick up maybe I can so less work on things outside of work and make this a higher priority! Have a wonderful day!
