After spending a week with @stephinspace and learning more about her yoga journey, a fire was lit inside of me, fueling me to elevate my own yoga practice. 🧘🏻♀️
I tried yoga for the first time when I was 17 and I have been doing it regularly ever since then. However, I always just worked out at home, guiding myself through whatever feels good and occasionally watching a class on YouTube.
I have done yoga every day since I was with Steph and even joined a studio where I get to work with some of the most talented yoga teachers in Vancouver, and get trained by people who truly understand the human body. This has been a total game changer for me physically and mentally.
I am learning so much, not just about the yoga postures (asanas), but about the philosophy of stillness, non-attachment, non-reactivity, and the higher mind. I am also learning about different type of breathing exercises. The poses, the breathwork, and the mastery of the mind, is Yoga.
The people in your life should inspire you to learn and grow. Be mindful of those who hinder your growth or think they have nothing left to learn.
