Even now, with far more experience, I almost always use porn off camera to get close and then use a cut in shot. This is pretty standard for my studio work, and the norm for my collabs as well. This scene, with an unseen guy off to the side, has been really popular. With fewer identifying marks, it's easier for the viewer to imagine themselves in the scene with me. It's a concept I definitely haven't forgotten, so I'll be shooting more like it :)
