My father is a Christian nationalist, and while I have many fond loving memories there are also many abusive ones. He was a narcissist, a man who erect shrines to Jesus and put a 13-foot cross in the backyard. Growing up with him he demanded obedience, and that hard edge has carried into my personality as an adult. While it is fun to be your 'Daddy' sometimes I do have to take a step back and process some of my trauma from my own father because it gets triggered by what I do here.
Processing trauma and dealing with our emotions is how we grow as men. Suppressing and passing on cycles of abuse is how we stunt our growth. The alpha way is not to bully and bellittle but to grow and develop. This is something my dad never understood.
