I was in a rough place last time I was here. I didn't want to admit it to myself for the longest time, but I had a terrible addiction to weed - taking edibles throughout the day every single day, just to numb myself from reality and make things feel a little more pleasant. After I had covid really bad for a couple weeks, I decided to start taking my health (and my life) more seriously. I finally decided to quit and focus on taking actionable steps towards improving my mentality and overcoming my depression once and for all. Started working through my problems instead of ignoring them and everyone and everything around me. Now I've finally put on my big girl pants. I know my own boundaries and I've started opening up to friends and family again. I'm toughening up and facing the things I'm afraid of, like learning to drive. I'm glad I finally realized I can't just live in my cave, alone and scared and numb, forever. And after months of work, I have my life together enough to start posting here again!
