“Carrying the weight of the world on
our shoulders”
Many of us have felt the feeling of having our responsibilities and also our emotional state weigh down on our lives. It can feel like a physical sensation, like there’s a literal weight that overtakes your body, and even makes it hard to take a full breath. I believe a lot of this today is due to our financial situation, and the social structure that society is built upon. But there really are so many layers to this problem, and so many ways others are being dragged down.
The pressure of making bills on time. Working a job you don’t want so that you can keep paying those bills. Having others that truly depend on you, and you can’t let them down. Especially if your a parent! Then there’s also the social aspect, and the feeling of being alone. There are so many people that are ignored based on their physical appearance, and even their unhappiness.
We are meant to help and care for each other. What can you do to help take the stress off of another’s shoulders? We’ve all been taught that we are on our own. It’s obviously important to know what your responsibilities are, and how to be independent. But some need more guidance than others, and that’s okay.
But I believe, in this world, in these times, we have to change the way we view others. Because so many of us are struggling, and all in different ways. We need to let go of the idea that we are all against eachother. We need more compassion and understanding, wherever it can be implemented. We all have a role in helping lighten the load 🫶 let’s be the change that we all know we truly want and need.
