my favorite cognitive bias is survivor bias. survival bias, or immortal time bias is the logical fallacy of focusing on people or things that have gone through some sort of selection process and ignoring those that haven't, usually due to their lack of visibility. This may lead to incorrect conclusions. For example, if the driver does not drive according to the rules, and remains alive, then this is not a problem and he does everything right. The incident was not so dangerous, because everyone with whom they later communicated survived.
