Everyone in my personal life knows I do sex work. I'm often asked if it's the hardest part of me rescuing. It's actually not bad and I enjoy making people happy and doing the best I can.
This... this is the hardest part of rescue. Loosing animals you've poured so much love, effort, money, sleepless nights, getting kicked, struck, clobbered, and shit on almost literally. Is the hardest part. Jericho is going down more and not fighting to get up as hard. I muted the audio of me holding Jericho in my lap. So no one has to hear me crying. I was trying to show @facelesslurker that he wouldn't even try to get up for me. My seperated shoulder was healing up nicely before this. Now it's as bad as the day I fell. I can't pick him up on my own anymore. The vet told me to just try and keep him up till Monday, as the vets in my small rural community are incompetent, and have failed us so many times I now call the vet the next town over. He isn't available till Monday. Everything in me is hoping he will start to turn around before then, as no one wants to put down a 35 year old donkey. We all want to hold out hope, however there is only so much we can do. The 2nd and 3rd videos are of him on his feet. Being loved.
