We also ate at the El Tovar hotel which sits on the edge of the canyon. And the views are amazing (last picture of the canyon pics).
If you ever have the opportunity to go to the Grand Canyon you should. Everyone can do it. They have made it so easy for all ages and all abilities. You can walk, or bike or You can even drive, park and look. You can make your experience as easy or difficult as you want but no matter what you’ll be blown away
