Added 2022-01-30 19:50:56 +0000 UTCI spent my Saturday painting this lil dude - the mantis shrimp! 🥰🎨🌈 Did you know that a mantis shrimp can accelerate his little arms to the same velocity as a gunshot from 22 caliber rifle? And can strike its prey with 1,500 newtons of force. Their little arms move so quickly it causes the water around them to boil and creates a shockwave that can kill their prey even if they miss. If human beings could accelerate their arm to 1/10th of this speed, we could throw a baseball into orbit! I wasn’t sure whether or not to share this, as it’s obviously not very sexy 🤣🙈 but one of my subs enjoyed it, so I thought some more of you might… let me know below? Hope you had a good weekend 🥰🌈🎨
