FACE TUNE: I don’t know if men know HOW advanced “photoshopping” has become. And it’s so easy. I auto corrected to “enhance” “retouch” and “fix.” Three taps on my phone. If you didn’t see the “before,” you would think the “after” is just a nice photo. The real image to the left is “No makeup, no lighting, nothing to improve how the photo is being taken.” I mean how many images have you seen that have been tweaked until it looks nothing like the actual person? Does anyone make the effort anymore? I love photography. I have taken self portraits for years. I do my best to keep the final image as close to the original. I adjust the brightness and sometimes color correct. (If the are really prominent, I tone down the circles under my eyes.) I do my makeup and my hair. I adjust the settings on my camera. No matter how often girls photoshop and filter and alter their photos, nothing can beat a photo taken with purpose and intention. When the person looks like a real person. How many photos have you seen of “creators” without makeup, without “working” their followers? Everything can seem so artificial and manufactured these days. Sometimes it’s nice to NOT see perfection. Sometimes it’s nice to see the circles and the blemishes, and messy hair…
