Added 2022-11-28 14:00:08 +0000 UTCThis can be difficult to achieve… Not allowing the behavior of assholes to affect you is challenging - I worked for one of the biggest dickheads I've ever encountered, for 15 years, at my most recent corporate jobs. So I get it!! My recommendation: Do whatever you need to do to rise above. It's so freeing to know that miserable people want everyone around them to be miserable too. If you allow yourself to be in their presence and you are allowing yourself to be affected, something has to change . . . either your reaction to the unwanted behavior or you need to remove yourself from the unwanted behavior. I know a lot of people stay stuck in miserable situations. I certainly have… Even though I was able to transform my relationship with my asshole boss, I was the one who changed --- not him. So every once in a while when he would spew his venom my way, it would hurt. But he didn't have the effect on me that he once did. #keepevilawayfromme xo
