Ever since my new landlord bought the building six months ago, they’ve been a pain in the ass. 🤮 They don’t know the laws of being a landlord in Santa Monica. They’ve been sued for millions of dollars by previous tenants in LA County, and they’re rude, incompetent, and, like I said, a pain in my fucking ass!😡 So since August, when I by chance found out the landlord had disconnected our interior and exterior security cameras at my apartment building, I totally lost it. 🙀 I PTSD from being ra*ped at knifepoint in this apartment, and capturing him on the security cameras (in addition to heaps of forensic evidence) played a big part in convicting him to four life sentences.👍🏻 I let the douche landlord know about my circumstances and how the cameras not working would (and did) keep me awake at night. 🥴 Even though this is a highly desired, high-rent neighborhood, there’s a lot of crime here due to transient drug addicts who are out of their minds and violent - - - mainly due to our horrible elected officials who are pro-criminal, and anti-victim, which is a huge issue that also infuriates me. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Regardless, the landlord didn’t care, and they wouldn’t do anything. 😠😖 So I took it upon myself to protect me and the other tenants here and went through the process of going through mediation with the landlord and the City, and that happened about a week ago. It was a really unpleasant mediation because the landlord representative is a total fuckwad, if I may be so blunt. He doesn’t know the law, he’s a whiny baby, and I had to shut him down a few times because he was gaslighting me, to put it mildly. 🤬 FYI, during the mediation, I found out the cameras are working, only because I pressured them to get them reconnected. EVERYONE agrees with me that they intentionally did this --------->>>>>> They had the cameras working for about the last six weeks, BUT DIDN'T BOTHER TO TELL ME!!!!!!!!!! That’s called fucking with your tenant. Shame on them. (Why did Apple remove the middle finger emoji, which would be here if they weren't censoring that gesture❓) Long story short, the mediator sent over an agreement for us to sign but it wasn’t complete based on our 90 minute mediation, so I made the necessary revisions, which the landlord representative wouldn’t agree to, so now we’re going to take this matter to a hearing.😜 In the meantime, I’ve gleaned a lot of information about this matter from one of my neighbors who’s an attorney, and who is also on the landlord’s ass. Yayeeee!!!💯 I have all the faith in the world that this will be resolved to my satisfaction, so that all of us tenants are safer. ☺️ Thanks in advance for sending me your good vibes, friends‼️ 💋💋💋Big huggies‼️ #mylandlordisashitass xo
