Recently, I have used some time to try art therapy to rest after a particularly stressful day. Especially on a day when strangers tried to approach my house and left me feeling on edge. I really needed something creative to help me channel that anxiety into something positive.

In my room, I set up a small art station with paints, brushes, and a plethora of colors. As I sat creating, I found the process really helped to let my racing thoughts down. Colors flowed freely, and I lost myself in the moment, forgetting about the stress outside.

Of course, this had its own set of challenges in creation. All I can say is that body art gets really messy! At the end of my session, it looked like a rainbow explosion had gone off in my room. Paint splatters lined my floor, and my clothes showed evidence of my artistic escapades.

Instead of feeling overwhelmed, I decided to love the chaos. I reached for my phone and began to take silly shots of this mess. I could capture all those vibrant colors, and remnants of my artistic journey, all while I laughed at just how ridiculous it was.

Cleaning up became an art form in itself. With each swipe of the rag, I felt a sense of accomplishment not just in my artwork but in the reclamation of my space. It was a reminder that even in messy moments, there's a chance for joy and creativity.

Art therapy became the most helpful tool, not only in processing the amount of stress felt during this time but also in finding humor in this chaos. Sometimes in those messy moments, clarity arises. If anyone ever feels overwhelmed, I highly recommend giving it a shot!
