The area I live in was very heavily affected by the hurricane (and tornadoes following it + 2 more storms expected by this Friday) that hit this past Friday morning. Lost power at about 2-3 A.M. Been without water, electricity, or service for 5 days now. Having to throw out so much food (mostly meats). Only time I can contact anyone or charge anything is at work. A cherry tree fell through my room’s ceiling, which is all glass as it's the sun room. Insurance is currently quoting a $10k deductible (that may increase upon further damage assessment or if something else shows up when they are in the process of fixing it) due to the entirety of the room’s roof needing replaced. The tree apparently bent the beams that connect the ceiling to the walls and in between the glass panels of the ceiling, on top of breaking most of the inside panels of glass (it is double layered - plexiglass type stuff outside that withstands a lot of pressure, but safety glass on the inside panels that is meant to shatter). The ceiling leaked a good bit during the rain which also caused floor damage. It has luckily not rained since Friday, but is supposed to soon as previously stated. The problem will only get worse then.
I am not making this post to ask for any handouts or donations!!! I simply want people who are consuming (especially those paying for) my content to be informed about my situation. Any purchases are greatly appreciated at this time. As are tips of course, but I’d be much more comfortable offering content in exchange for money.
