⏰Throwback Thursday🕰️ 📆2007 15 years ago I was 34 years old We started 2007 in Cape Town. My husband got a job in CT so we had to move here. And it was fantastic. Although my husband worked very hard, every day he had off, we went exploring. The beauty of CT is legendary, and it was true. CT has lots and lots of beaches. There are mountains, forests, fields upon fields of flowers. Everywhere we went, there were ample opportunities for photos. We were like kids in a chocolate factory. We couldn’t wait to go exploring. This was the year our hobby really took of. We took photos wherever we could. We enjoyed CT so much. Ironically, we started our marriage in Cape Town in 1993 and we stayed there until 1997. The problem was we never experienced CT like we did the second time. The first time we were there, we missed the beauty of CT completely. But the did make up for it the second time😜. 💍👰30 YEARS🤵💒 We are married for 30 years today. 30 years of blissful marriage, (OK, only the last 20 were good, the first 10...not so much. It was a stormy and rainy day 30 years ago. A prelude of how our first 10 years would be. But we weathered the storm, the rain stopped, the clouds parted and we enjoyed the last 20 years in golden sunshine. This set of photos were taken at our honeymoon hotel that we discovered by accident the day of our 24th anniversary! When we discovered the hotel, we didn't even recognized it! Luckily our marriage survived better than the hotel!

You can just imagine the hotel patrons sitting in front of this fireplace on a cold winters night, sipping whiskey, smoking a cigar and talking the night away. Interesting fact, Queen Elizabeth had her 21st birthday in this same hotel.

🤎SATURDAY THEMED SET🤎 🕰️Old Things✒️ 01. As some of you might have noticed, I'm a mature woman. So, for the next theme, I will pose with things that are older than me (or so I hope 😅. Time does not stand still for anyone. We've been taking topless photos of me for 20 years now, and you can see the time pass every year. I love old things. I wonder about what they’ve seen, what they’ve done, how the world has changed in their lifetimes... 02. Do you have a ticket for this journey? If not, I'll have to put my top back on and get off the train. We discovered this old train car in Richards Bay. The overcast skies, (it's always overcast in RB), made for some nice lighting. We also took some pictures inside the car, that will be shared at a later date.

🤎SATURDAY THEMED SET🤎 🕰️Old Things✒️ 03. As time rusts on. This old steam engine will definitely never move again. Found in a small town in the middle of nowhere. I know the lighting sucks in this photo. We discovered this steam engine in the middle of the day, when the sun was at it’s highest. We knew we will probably never see this engine again, so we had to stop and make the best of a bad light situation. The photo was taken in a very small town named Klipplaat, just south of Graaf-reinet.

Found this old tractor in the Drakensberg many moons ago. This was in quite a busy place, so we had to take extra care not to be caught 😅. Yes, in those days I still worried to be caught😜.

🤎SATURDAY THEMED SET🤎 🕰️Old Things✒️ 05. Relaxing after a long day of ploughing the fields...er no, posing topless duh. This is not the previous tractor's plough. This was really after a very long day. We travelled down a gravel road and did not see a “no entry” sign. Ok, we saw and chose to ignore it. Drove down a very bad gravel road, mostly done in 4x4, passed through 3 gates, that I had to open and close, and eventually ended at a locked gate. We had to back track all the way! Me opening and closing the gates again! I did need a beer after that.

🤎SATURDAY THEMED SET🤎 🕰️Old Things✒️ 06. The forgotten pick-up truck. This truck is so old, plants and vegetation are growing in the engine. I guess you can call in a "green engine" now😜😂. It is better than bio-fuel😅! I would love to know how this pick-up truck ended in a Nature Reserve. It does make for a comfortable sitting spot.

🤎SATURDAY THEMED SET🤎 🕰️Old Things✒️ 07. An old railway bridge over a road in Sabie. This bridge has not seen a train in many a year. Still looks good for its age. This bridge is close to the place we camped. We actually walked here for this photo session. We've spend many afternoons on this bridge sipping a cold one. But as you some of you know, the walkway I’m standing on, was removed recently😡. Photos like this will never be taken again😢!

Passed this old steam engine on one of our long trips. The rain was pouring down. I stubbornly decided I wanted a photo at this location. Me with an umbrella, my husband with an umbrella, and the pictures were taken one handed. I did get the impression my husband was jealous of this steam engine. I wonder why...?😂😂😂
