I’m working on getting back to my meditation and yoga practice. I stopped in late spring, and I can feel how much my body and mind need it to process life, to feel content with things as they are, to feel good in my body, and to appreciate the depth of simple, daily moments.

It’s so easy to get swept up in the busyness of life -work, family, endless MUSTS. It’s so easy to forget to pause, take a breath, feel your toes in your socks, the wind on your skin, the sun on your face. So many small joys are right there, just waiting to be noticed.

I want to be a better friend to myself and to Life ♡

The garden was blessed with a few days of sun, which meant there was a lot of work to finish before the rain came, plus planting flowers for next season. Yesterday, I spent the whole day fixing the chimney and the last bits of the roof that were broken. Hopefully, that long month of roof repairs is finally over!

I really hope there won’t be much more to repair for the rest of the year :D Wish me luck! Living in an old house is full of surprises, but I’m hoping everything is safe enough for winter. I should be able to start being more present here in a few days :)

It’s been a wild few weeks, full of pressure and stress. But I feel grateful for them—for the process of building a home, being in nature, and simply being alive ♡.

I think you’ll like this set of pictures 😂❤️... I had a really nice weekend after a long time — two of my best friends came to visit :) It was so great to have them around, break free from my usual routine and all the work, and just enjoy time with dear friends. ♡

It was really a refreshing change since I live pretty isolated 😅

There are only 2 hours between these two photos 😹
The weather managed to change drastically four times today! I began the morning roasting freshly harvested chestnuts in the fog, and later enjoyed them under a clear, sunny sky. Later, while I was gardening, a sudden heavy rain hit the village. It revealed broken roof tiles above the garage that an electrician accidentally damaged (without telling me 😬) a few days ago. So, with the sun in my back, I spent the rest of the day fixing the tiles and learning how to make cement ✌️🫠.

Most of my days are busy like this 💪
It is a lot of work. But same time very empowering.

Yesterday, my dear friend @adorable_alice arrived to spend a few days with me. The region she’s from is dealing with intense wildfires, and the smoke has been unbearable. It’s incredible how far the smoke can travel—even though my place is a few hundred kilometers away and relatively safe, strong winds brought a lot of smoke here too. The sun has been turning red over the past couple of days (sharing a picture of that too 😅), but luckily the air started clearing out this evening. Wildfires are pretty scary—so unpredictable.

Anyway, here are also some photos from my never-ending bleaching session 😅. I’ve been bleaching and washing old linens all day, and it's now 11 PM and I'm still not done! ✌️🫠

I took these pictures today when I was in the garden, just right before sunset :))) .. I love this time of the day and it's colors :) And it is so nice to stop after long day full of work, and just sit in a grass and listen to whispering trees ♡
