i had always wanted to go on a world trip for a year with a partner, but two of my friends are currently doing this and have broken up with their long-term (of 5-7 years) partners 😅

i finally went to a psychologist to confirm i diagnosis i suspected.
i went in armed with 11 pages of bullet points about my caregivers growing up and a little bit about me, just to make sure the pyschologist completely understood where i was coming from, because i'm not great at verbally expressing myself 😅.
it's kind of bittersweet because it's very stigmatizing, but at the same time, relieving to know you're not alone and most importantly realizing there is a way to get better.
i'm looking forward to therapy and working on myself. Now I just gotta wait 8 months for the next available appointment 🫠
i know i've complained about this before, but i really need to buy more lingerie. hahaha.

can i take a moment to brag about my friends for one moment? i just want say how much i love travelling with my beautiful, smart friends.
one can speak french and Italian, the other Spanish and Portuguese, the other Turkish, the other indonesian, and then there's me contributing my mediocre mandarin 🤣. i guess it should go without saying that we all speak english and german. Our combined language skills always make traveling such a breeze.
outside of their language skills, they are also such wonderful human beings. i love them soooo much. i am so lucky to be surrounded by such inspiring women.
i have kind of a funny story from the gala. one of the ph.d. students was joking about making an OF, and I told him, i don't think it would be lucrative as you think it is as heterosexual man 🤣
i think that gave me away, because he was intent on hanging out with me again, and i finally hung out with him and he brought it up again.
honestly, it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders finishing up school. i'm looking forward to focusing on bettering myself and getting my affairs in order. i'm so bad at multi-tasking, and i've neglected a lot of aspects in my life to focus on doing my best in school.

i don't want to go too ahead of myself, but i think my thesis went quite well. i don't have the final grade yet, but after my defense, my supervisors asked if i would be interested in presenting my thesis to my university.
i kind of want to, but kind of don't want to at the same time because i didn't reply to the professors in charge of the ph.d. program when they asked why i didn't apply 😅. i feel like it would be awkward, because they might be the ones i would be presenting to. alsoooo, i hate presenting things 🙃
i guess the benefit of not posting for such a long time... i have so much to write about 🤣
i wanted to tell you about tomorrowland! i met so many wonderful people that when i can back i was still living off of that high for a week. i was so happy, while my friends were struggling to recover mentally and physically, but i was fantastic. hahaha.
the only downer was, that I was hit on by about 4 men, and ALL OF THEM WERE IN RELATIONSHIPS 💀
i'm starting off my trips today with indonesia! i'll admit this one isn't a solo travel trip. i'm going with a group of my closest friends, including my best friend who is Indonesian. i'm so excited for her to introduce me to her culture!!

so i decided not to go for my ph.d. i went to an academic conference with my university and it was concluded with a gala, where one of my professors drank a little too much wine.
he taught most of my bachelor program's courses and i had always admired this professor. i thought he was the most ethical, kind, wise human being. he was basically a saint in my eyes, but at the gala, he got really creepy, really quick.
long story short, he told me he has sex with multiple women a week with a body count in the 1000s (i'm skeptical about this, lol,) implied he wanted to marry and impregnate me, and just a lot of other weird stuff. he completely disillusioned himself to me and it was such a disappointing experience.
i told my classmates this story, and one classmate told me about how another professor who accompanied them on a class trip to NY, was creepily hitting on all the female students. i just don't want to be in this kind of environment.
I went to an "influencers' party" last thursday. it was an interesting experience, but i don't think i would do it again.
typically when i go out, i usually end up meeting and chatting away with the most interesting, smart funny people. that's half of the fun of going out! but nearly all the people i spoke to at this party, seemed to...lack depth? a plastic surgeon even gave me unsolicited advice to get a nose job 💀
i don't mean to dismiss influencers, but maybe something about a party specifically for influencers attract a certain type of person?
well with the exception of one guy, who i thought was literal perfection. so smart, open, and beautiful, just to find out he was married 🥲 /rant

a few days ago, this middle-aged, skater dude, sat on the ground next to the bench my friend was sitting, and rested his chin on the bench with his nose only a few centimeters away from her butt and then told her she has a nice ass
and it still makes me mad to think about it.
