Throwback to a hairless time. There is something so funny ..
Throwback to a hairless time. There is something so funny about how one can be perceived based on their body hair. As if it had any importance to who a person actually is. As if my character differs based on the strands that cover my body. Well, we know better. The world outside is convinced of many dos and don’ts. So many faux pas. That’s what I love about this place. There is no shock element to the taboo of my body. I can show up hairy or hairless and I am still perceived as who I am. I love breaking down the notions people have created of me.

Why I don’t celebrate Thanksgiving • • • It’s Canadian Thanksgiving. I don’t celebrate. I’ll be ordering take out and taking a brisk walk with a friend. I can’t bring myself to celebrate the erasure of 100s of indigenous tribes. I take today to acknowledge the land I live on and the genocide that took place I realize this is heavy but as a person who is always trying to do better and be my best self I think it’s important I share this piece here. Indigenous communities are responsible for protecting 80% of our biodiversity. They have kept the oceans and air clean for years. Yet the patriarchy gives no acknowledgement to these people.
