The end is in sight for my data fiasco! 😊 I've recovered at least part of almost all of the content I've made, albeit some unfortunate losses. I'll still have to work on organization and clearing up storage space for months - however I will start getting back to my normal flow soon and hopefully a better mindset.
Even though I have plenty of stuff I haven't worn, I did order some new lingerie to celebrate.

Long story short, my repeated partial backups have created a giant uncontrollable 48 TB mess. Which has obviously caused some pain points in trying to get everything transferred and backed up. I have worked day and night, taken days off from work, spent a bunch of money on bigger storage and better compute and honestly kinda checked out of life trying to get this fixed because this has completely consumed me.
Tonight I finally turned a corner and had a workflow that was working and a path to finally getting everything transferred and back online. UNFORTUNATELY, while someone in my household was doing something unrelated nearby, something happened and I lost another hard drive which wasn’t part of my NAS (as it’s full) and was being used as a stop gap to hold my data while my NAS was reclaiming space.
I’m sure I can recover my data, again, and start this process over but I was already on the edge of insanity from this restoration. I’m not making any decisions tonight but I am exhausted, demoralized and not feeling sexy or fun and not sure I have it in me to keep trying to recover my content. I’m not sure what this means going forward but I definitely need to step away and figure out what makes sense.
Thanks everyone that’s stuck around. I’ll communicate more in the coming days.
