Wondering what are some healthy fruits and veggies you can give to your pup? Here are 13 fruits and vegetables that are generally safe and nutritious for dogs: 1) Apples - Provide fiber and antioxidants. Seeds should be avoided. 2) Bananas - High in potassium and antioxidants. Peels should be avoided. 3) Blueberries - Loaded with antioxidants and vitamins. - Mila can't have these but make sure to take a food sensitivity test if you see your pup is vomiting. 4) Carrots - Great source of vitamins A and K. Can be juiced or shredded or given whole. 5) Cucumbers - Mostly water so they're hydrating and the peel can be fed however we avoid all peels and seeds 6) Pumpkin - High in fiber, potassium and vitamins/minerals. Fresh or canned plain, no seasoning. I give 1 tsp to Mila every morning w/breakfast! 7) Raspberries - Antioxidant-rich berries that are not toxic to dogs. Mila gets 2 after dinner each day. I also use them as a high value treat for training! 8) Spinach - Lots of vitamins A, C and K. Can add to meals. We just started some dehydrated greens with lots of Spinach. Mila licks the bowl! 9) Sweet potatoes - Highly nutritious and can help with digestive health. None for Mila, she is highly sensitive to them and vomits. So make sure to test these with your pup to see what works for them 10) Tomatoes - Technically a fruit, low calorie source of antioxidants. Ditch the seeds. I also avoid the peel 11) Broccoli - Loaded with vitamins C and K plus fiber. Cooked is easier to digest. 12) Banana - Be sure to peel bananas before serving. You can slice and serve them as treats or mash them and add them to your dog’s food. We also use them for training! Mila LOVES them! 13) Watermelon - Watermelon is like a giant health-bomb! It’s low in calories and packed with nutrients, like potassium, beta-carotene, and magnesium. Ditch the seeds and don't give the rind either.
