Having a dog is already a lot of work but no walks, no play dates, etc was rough. And did you know that there is an average of six hurricanes hit the United States each year and many people are caught unprepared? Here were some helpful tips for us to get "PET" prepared! I know our local Costco was sold out of water and toilet paper but don't forget to prep for your pets! - Always make sure you have a list of miscellaneous supplies you and your pet might need at home or at a shelter in case you need to evacuate. Mila has some special homeopathic stuff so we had that ready to go! - A bag of survival supplies with food, water, and medications. We had a week supply ready to go of her freeze dried food and supplements. - And get a list of the closest locations of pet-friendly shelters and regional animal emergency centers. That I didn't get a chance to do b/c we were dealing with a flooding situation! But always remember to think about your fur baby!
