Did you know dogs can get bloat just like us? Bloat in dogs is a ser ious condition that requires imm ediate attention and here are some things to look out for! It happens when dog’s stomach fills with gas, fluid, or food, causing it to expand. I remember when Mila ate 1lb of raw rice when she was a puppy and her tummy was HUGE! We called the VET as ap and thank good ness I did or Mila wouldn't be here today: so make sure to check out for these symptoms: - A swollen or tight tummy - Attempts to throw up without anything coming up - Restlessness - Excessive drooling - Shaking or trembling - Rapid, shallow breathing or panting. - A dog may become lethargic, or even collapse. So if you notice any of these that means call your Vet!

Did you know that dogs curl up to sleep for warmth? Dog’s tendency to curl up to sleep goes back to their origins. Before they were domesticated, dogs use to sleep in dens and made nests to keep warm at night. Even though they live in our homes with us, these are hardwired behaviors from their ancestor’s pre-domestic days. It also explains why dogs “make the bed” by digging into blankets or the couch. They’re preparing their nest for the night! Make sure to keep your fur baby warm!

The funny thing is, many pet parents overlook this when it comes to their own animal’s health. We sometimes forget that our dogs’ teeth require brushing just as much as our own teeth! Our vet said EVERYDAY if you can! No matter the reason, brushing your dog’s teeth is essential… and not just for dental health, but overall health as well! I use a doggy toothbrush and organic coconut oil and Mila loves it! Do you brush your dogs teeth?
