Since i cant give any of you sweet things a real riding lesson. I recorded a small one.
I want to thank everyone here. This horse is alive and healthy because of all the hands who held and helped on this page. If you EVER feel like youve never done nothing good for nobody come to my page and look at this post.
I know it may seem like such a small deed to us, but to Historia it saved her life. Even tho i traded her for a saddle this page paid for her antibiotics so she didnt go into septic shock. This page paid for her club foot to be corrected for three years now. This page got her to my home and into my care. Please, i know the world is hard on men, but know here, in this instance y'all are Historia's heros. The difference was made in her eyes. And shes so very happy to be alive.

Jericho passed away yesterday July 28th, 2024
A little after 3pm. He is in donkey heaven ripping coyotes to shreds. It was his sciatic nerve. We kept him up as long as we could to get the backhoe fixed to bury him. Sciatic nerve issues in equines are usually catastrophic and result in euthanasia. Like Jericho here. I was finally able to definitively age him closer to 40 than 35.
He was a good boy, truly a short king. He took on a mtn loin and won. As soon as he passed there was a mtn lion in hell who felt true fear in ita soul when Jericho left this mortal coil.
He never did anything naughty but he was mischievous, he was never mean. Except with his feet in the beginning. He was always happy to see me. He made me feel so loved. He was my perfect little, old man. He was my bub, my little fucker. I love him so much. Right now he is on my front lawn prepped for burial. We were able to lay him down for the procedure. I didn't want him to slam to the ground. When given the sedative he got scared. And tried to run on his side. He was shaking for a minute the vet allowed me and @facelesslurker to calm him down and slow his heart rate and let the sedative take affect so he could have a few moments of peace. He died on my partners arms and me rubbing his tummy. He d!€d calm as the vet allowed us to calm him down before.

Everyone in my personal life knows I do sex work. I'm often asked if it's the hardest part of me rescuing. It's actually not bad and I enjoy making people happy and doing the best I can.
This... this is the hardest part of rescue. Loosing animals you've poured so much love, effort, money, sleepless nights, getting kicked, struck, clobbered, and shit on almost literally. Is the hardest part. Jericho is going down more and not fighting to get up as hard. I muted the audio of me holding Jericho in my lap. So no one has to hear me crying. I was trying to show @facelesslurker that he wouldn't even try to get up for me. My seperated shoulder was healing up nicely before this. Now it's as bad as the day I fell. I can't pick him up on my own anymore. The vet told me to just try and keep him up till Monday, as the vets in my small rural community are incompetent, and have failed us so many times I now call the vet the next town over. He isn't available till Monday. Everything in me is hoping he will start to turn around before then, as no one wants to put down a 35 year old donkey. We all want to hold out hope, however there is only so much we can do. The 2nd and 3rd videos are of him on his feet. Being loved.

Jericho update: Today when I gave him grain he stumbled a bit, but he
corrected himself and I didn't have to catch and pick up all 400lbs of him. Hes a 35 year old Jack donkey. Even at 35 he has the potential to live 29 more.
Please send positive vibes. Everything helps. Even words of encouragement. I adore you all as community and people. I am so damn proud of all of you. If any of you EVER feel like you haven't done enough in this world come to my page. Look at the faces of these horses you all helped save. We have saved more horses on this platform than 501C3 rescues do in a year.
Half the rescue ladies hate that I get this done on my own through sex work but I will NEVER stop, I will NEVER give up, and we all will NEVER stop doing the right thing.

Jericho was able to see the vet again Tuesday evening. The vet thinks it's something pinched, pulled, arthritis, worst case scenario cancer. If the fast acting steroids help he'll need them the rest of his life but will be okay. If nothing happens in 2-3 day I will sadly have to make the choice to have him put down.
