So this is the overall plan this weekend in terms of accomplishing more on the Goblin Prince Havok design. I'm inching it closer and closer to the comic book interpretation and further away from the more casual takes most have done.
To do this I'll be doing gloves, sleeves and boots. The half sleeve on the right arm, and full on the left is what's being shown in this mockup drawing. I'll also be adding shoulder padding to beef up my arms a bit as I'm a little lacking. From there I'll be adding a fingerless glove and cuff on the right and a full glove and cuff on the left.

Sometimes making new things is just as easy as matching something you already have. I tend to make a lot of briefs or thongs for Pride Season. Though I should really dabble in more elaborate costumes.

Been a toss since I've posted something but this is a nice development. I'd been asked if I had ever worked with mesh, and I honestly hadn't. Well not proper mesh, but sports mesh yes I had! So I hopped to work making a mesh leotard based on my Robin costume. I'm still not sure whether I like it or not.

I kinda hate this costume. Lol it's based off of Zane Knoxx's Superman but I don't have the body for it. It was a custom piece made for a friend so it's not really meant for my body but what I hated most was the brief which was supposed to be a thong and needed a heavier vinyl material. The cape was also cheap nylon vs film quality vinyl which I would rather have used. When I make my own I'll upgrade the pieces to better match the art.

I had to ask myself when I started this what I hoped to get out of it. Mostly I wanted to be able to post the things I make that I don't think are appropriate for Instagram. I learned to sew making outfits for stripping. At the time the city I live in, Vancouver, had an amateur strip competition called "The Gay Agenda". A college friend and I considered joining during their first year, eventually he did but I kept out of it and stuck to trying to build outfits.
Weird as it may sound sewing underwear is considered difficult in terms of sewing ability because of the elastic, but its the first thing I dove in to try as the small amounts of fabric required could save me a lot of money if I made mistakes. So here's a picture of a gold thong I made for a Cupid costume some years back.
