Even non-living they look so pretty. This photo was taken close to the sea on one of our longer trips. A small throne for sure, but still very pretty. This tree was close to the exit of a reserve. Because we stopped next to the road to take the photos, the guard of the gate eventually came out to look why we were parked there so long. It is only after a while that I save him looking at me from the gate 😮!

I love the pose, love the mist and love the color of the pine needles. Getting on and off these types of rocks is quite rough on my pantyhose. We often use 3 pairs a day because the the pantyhose gets ripped going up and down rocks, trees and ruins!

Because the rock is always in the sun, it can only be used in the mornings or on cloudy day. It does make for a nice rock to pose on, here showing my legs quite well I think.

🍾100K🥂 Yesterday morning we achieved 100 000 followers on Twitter. It was a great accomplishment for us. After we reached 100K, we posted a special photo on Twitter and celebrated with a bottle of wine🍷. Needles to say, after that we were a bit tired, so we took the rest of the day off to recover😅😂. 👸Lady in the Parlor🏰 Good morning everyone. WOW, a bumper posting today. I started working on photos and couldn't stop. I like every photo more than the previous one, so I just kept going! 😅 It was taken in a restaurant close to us. We rented the place for a day while they were closed. We spend the whole day taking photos there and I think it came out quite nice. Good morning everyone. Happy Monday to all of you! I so hope you all had a great and relaxing weekend. I had a great weekend myself. It was a very wet weekend, but I love the rain. Yesterday we sat on the porch, sipping wine and looking at the rain pouring down. The photo was taken some years ago in a nature reserve. I loved that reserve because there are so many places to pose and take photos. It was beautiful there! But due to bad management it has fallen apart. We don't go there that often anymore. Driving on gravel roads you often come across small, one lane bridges like this. Some are steel, some are concrete and once we discovered a wood one! It wouldn’t have been fun crossing rivers every time without a bridge! Bridges are really cool inventions.

❤️SATURDAY THEMED SET MEGA POSTING❤️ 🌉Bridging the Divide🌉 05. Our secret bridge hidden in a park close to us. We’ve had a lot of picnics on this bridge. For a long time, this bridge was inaccessible due to a bridge, (oh the irony), that had fallen down. The bridge was eventually repaired and we did visit it again. These were our latest photos taken there, and since the time we’ve been there last, it had deteriorated to this state. The second photos is one of the first photos taken at the bridge. It was in good condition, the walking paths was clear and often used. Now it is overgrown and abandoned due to criminals attacking people using the paths and enjoying nature.

A new and more modern, (and uglier), bridge has been built right next to it. This bridge crossed the river Mlalazi. Man, old bridges are so much prettier than modern bridges. Don’t you agree?

To avoid the traffic jam, he turned down the next road. We drove for a few kilometres and then found this bridge. I did mention that I love these old bridges, so we just had to use this bridge. Because the bridge is still in use, I had to keep my shirt on for unwanted vehicles crossing the bridge...and there were a few!

We camped in a very, very dark camping ground. An I mean it was dark, as dark as my heart😜🤣. It was outside of town, there were no lights anywhere on the camp ground and no moon! We were the only people in a black void. A weird night indeed.

While we were inspecting the conditions of the river, contemplating what to do, a local arrived in a small half ton truck. He got out of the car, looked at the river and said to us: ” I know this bridge, it will be fine.” He got in his little truck and drove onto the bridge...into the rushing water...and nearly lost it at the end. He made it, but I’m sure he had to put on clean underpants when he got home!😅😂

⏰Throwback Thursday⏰ 🗓️ 2005 17 years ago I was 32 years old 2005 was actually the year our hobby took off like a rocket. We discovered the outdoors and we frequently visited nice nature areas around the house. We also started to take much more photos. We used the garage as a studio, with lights and backdrops.
