I haven't done a prep update in a couple of weeks so here we..

I haven't done a prep update in a couple of weeks so here we are!! been reluctant to share as I've been overly critical of myself and feeling like I've not made "enough" progress to warrant an update but I'm now 3.5 weeks down and things are going pretty well! Managed to make it up to this point without any changes being made but after a few days of plateauing at around 73kg, we're ramping things up! fats have been slightly decreased, the dosage of fat burners I am using has been doubled and cardio has now been upped to 6x 25 min HIIT sessions a week. I was diagnosed with patellar tendonitis in my knee last week which meant I had to take last week off of training lower body as it was getting pretty irritated. Yesterday I managed to train at a reduced load with slight irritation which is definitely an improvement! My rotator cuff issue is still lingering too - it's now been diagnosed as a partial tear in my subscapularis tendon which could take a long time to heal but my physiotherapist is happy with how things are looking and thinks it's definitely improving 😊 I'll be starting to work on my 60 second posing routine very soon as well which is super excitingggg, going to spend the next couple of days looking for some inspiration on poses 😁

Week one of prep, done! βœ…οΈ X WEEKS OUT πŸ€ͺ Thought it would b..

Week one of prep, done! βœ…οΈ X WEEKS OUT πŸ€ͺ Thought it would be fun to start the physique updates up again now that I'm prepping for my first show, just in case anyone is interested in the process 😊 Calories are currently 2335 on a training day and 2124 on a rest day and I'm FEELING the drop, my training day calories were roughly 3500 until last week so it's been an aggressive start but this is what my body responds well to and (hopefully) it'll make things easier down the line. My starting weight for prep was 78.6kg and this morning I weighed in at 75.6kg so I'm already down 3 kilos in a week (this will mainly be water weight but its so exciting to see the visual changes already!!) I'm still training my usual 5x per week (I follow a push pull legs upper lower split however it's been tweaked recently as I have injured my supscapularis tendon πŸ₯² but one of my favourite things about bodybuilding is that there's always a workaround!). Training is still feeling amazing right now, have been hitting PRs despite being in a deficit 😁 I'm currently on 5x 25 minute cardio sessions on the cross trainer as well, interval style to try and increase my fitness levels which I have a love-hate relationship with! but I'm hoping it'll move to the stairmaster soon πŸ˜‚ I also have a step target of 10k steps per day!! I've also learned to pose without looking in the mirror and I'm really proud of how things are coming along so far, I will need to start working on a posing routine shortly as well which is terrifying but I'm sure I'll enjoy it too! I can't wait to keep chipping away and reveal the muscle I've been working so hard to build for these last 2 years 😁

IT'S MY BIRTHDAYYYY πŸ˜πŸŽ‰ and also officially day 1 of prep πŸ’€ A couple of stills from some posing practice I did last night πŸ₯° I trained upper body this morning and the rest of today will be finishing meal prep, doing cardio later and then taking one of my kitties to the vet πŸ₯² yesterday evening was spent celebrating with my family so that I could start off my comp prep today by ticking all of the boxes. wrapping up this gaining phase at roughly 78kg - I'm aiming to do my first show at the end of March so it's looking to be around a 20+ week prep πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« Fat burners are officially back in as of this morning (clenbuterol, T3 & T4), I'm not expecting to be using steroids again until probably the back end of my prep so hopefully my strength sticks around for now!! Exciting times ahead 😁
