And I silently shake my head and roll my eyes.
Because WE CAN DECIDE how our day is going to go - when we wake up.
And if we don't do that, then you have that kind of lame response, as if you're at the effect of life and you're just waiting to see what circumstances are going to bring you down.
Which is a pathetic way to live.

OMGEEEEE ....
I was at my acupuncture appointment this afternoon and she she saw this bruise and was wondering if I was OK.
I wish I had a sexy story to tell you about how I got this killer bruise two days ago… It was a scary situation and I thought I was gonna have to call an ambulance, but thankfully everything worked out.
I SAVED MYSELF - AGAIN.
I'm kinda beat up and sore everywhere, but am soooo grateful because it could've been a lot worse.

When I used to work out of Lou Adler's (you can Google him) Rambla Vista home, I fell in love with Malibu. My short drive from Santa Monica was gorgeous, and when entering Malibu, I felt like I was on vacation.
I always told myself when I won the lottery that I would move there. It's sooo gorgeous!!!
An office I was in had this old time photo of Malibu in the lobby, and I snapped a pic because wow, it sure has changed.

I love learning new things.

It was my three month mark and I needed to change my toothbrush head on this fancy waterpik combo electric toothbrush/waterpick system that I use, and I couldn't remove the toothbrush head.
I spent about 45 minutes on the phone with waterpik and found out that it was still under warranty. Thank goodness for small favors! :) Usually when something major stops functioning, my warranty JUST expired!!!!!!
They had me do all kinds of things try to get toothbrush head of & none of it was successful.
They told me it was important to pull off the toothbrush head every single time you use it, to wash away any toothpaste at the base of the toothbrush head.
Guess what I told them to report to the powers that be at Waterpik???
That is BS cuz it sounds like a defect in manufacturing to have to do that. I've never had to do it with this unit or any other unit.
My point in this video is when I purchased this unit two years ago it was $80 less. Who says prices have gone up about 10% across the board??? This is a huge price gouge if I needed to re-purchase it today. Which I would not, cuz I can't afford it.
Anyway I'm getting a replacement AND it won't have a warranty attached to it. That's not really great either.
I will never buy Waterpik again.

Have you watched all 3 seasons?
IT'S SPECTACULAR!! BRILLIANT!! MESMERIZING!!
And in 2.5 months the 4th season premieres!
Years ago I couldn't even make it through the first episode. HBO has been promoting it and I tried it again and I couldn't watch ANYTHING ELSE until I finished every episode of Succession.
It was a bit triggering because I worked for high rollers/movers & shakers like these assholes throughout my career. Some of it was familiar and nothing I'd ever want to experience again!
It was INCREDIBLE, across the board. I highly recommend it!

More about my idiot landlord…
All the tenants agree that a professional landlord with half a brain would notify us of a big change that would affect us.
Big change in this case means this Amazon monstrosity that mysteriously appeared in our lobby.
Has anybody seen the movie '2001 A Space Odyssey?' Remember when the obelisk appears and the monkeys are frantically trying to figure out what the hell it was? They were poking and prodding, banging on it, and screaming at it.
See attached clip.
That was me and a few others - feeling it up as if we were sightless - no pounding took place tho, as we tried to figure out this Amazon monolith - wondering how we're supposed to access our Amazon deliveries since there are NO key holes - no buttons - nothing that appears to be a way to open any of the sections.
Another neighbor enlightened us in our Facebook group, who had this at her last apartment building. She explained that you get a special app with a special code and can then unlock the portion of this monstrosity, where your delivery will hopefully be waiting for you.
Awesome - mystery solved..... However, we've heard nothing from our dumb ass landlord. Ya think maybe you should clue us in as to when the changeover will happen, etc., etc., dude??
It'll be wonderful once we get the information for this new system, but I've already made penny bets with a bunch of tenants that our packages will be waiting for us in the monolith for WEEKS before we get the information from our landlord as to how to access our packages.
That'll be fun. NOT!
