I am so excited about the new photos I did! đđ When we took them, it was really cold outside, and the water was even colder. But I was ready to do anything for a good shoot, so I even eventually got wet :))
The Girlsâ Motivation to Become Sex Workers, Vol. 3 â Freedom First
These women yearn for a normal lifestyle rather than a luxurious one. They desire a modest car, a small apartment, occasional vacations, and simple restaurantsânothing particularly extravagant. What they value most is freedom: the freedom of time and the ability to do whatever they want, whenever they want. They donât want a boss dictating when they must work, when they can take a holiday, or pressuring them with deadlines. They want to work only when they choose.
I can't forget the face of the police officer who was interrogating Simona, one of the workers from our establishment. The police come here regularly to talk with the girls. At one point, he asked her why she chose this job. She replied, âBecause of freedom.â He seemed shocked, so she elaborated: âLook, I donât have a boss like you do. I can go to work whenever I want. If Iâm not feeling well today, I just cancel my reservations, and thatâs it. Nobody tells me what to do or what not to do. Tomorrow, if I decide I want to go on holiday, I can. I donât have to ask anyone for permission. When I'm at work and feel tired at midnight, I can close my room and go home. Try telling your boss that youâre tired and leaving now. I doubt that would go over well, right? Thatâs real freedom.â
The policeman nodded thoughtfully and said, âHm, that makes sense.â
đ Womenâs Motivation to Become Sex Workers: Vol. 2 â Blond Ambition đ
Letâs start with this: not everyone dreams of a luxurious life, an expensive lifestyle, or traveling the world. Some men do, but some women do as well. Many of them eventually come to the conclusion that achieving this is not exactly realistic. Either you marry a millionaire, or you try to become a millionaire yourself through a ânormalâ career. Both of these are rather unlikely.
Earning enough for a luxury life as a sex worker, however, is actually much more attainable. When you can make up to 50k dollars a month, a luxurious lifestyle becomes very possible. Some of these women could marry a millionaire, and some actually have in the past. But they quickly realized that life in a âgolden cageâ has its limits, and they donât want that experience again.
They donât want to depend on a husbandâs moods, decisions, ups, and downs. They want to decide for themselves how to spend their money. Itâs also a bit of an ego thing: I earned my money, and Iâll do whatever I want with it!
These women donât necessarily have to be single. Some of them enjoy staying free and single, yes, but others do plan to get marriedâjust with someone they truly love, not because of his wealth. You might even call them romantic đ„°. The question is whether the man theyâre marrying is motivated by pure love or by her financial success đ Men can be just as money-motivated as women, and Iâve seen that many times :)))
đ Womenâs motivation to become sexworkers: Part 1 â Nymphomaniacs đ
The motivation of these women is quite obvious: they enjoy sex. They enjoy it a lot. I mean, a lot.So, they decided to combine pleasure with business. Many people might be surprised to learn that the number of these women is actually not as low as you might expect. Of course, they still represent a minority within the sex worker community, but theyâre not as rare as one might think.
Whatâs interesting is that it can be quite difficult to recognize such a woman at first glance. They often donât look like sex workers. Typically, they may appear to be shy girls or middle-aged women who could easily work at your local post office. They donât have âI WANT SEXâ written on their faces. Some may have that special lascivious look in their eyes, but most of the time, you wouldnât guess what a wild spirit lies within.
After many years in the business, I believe I can sometimes recognize such a woman during the first interview. Itâs usually not their body language; itâs the way they talk about sex and about men. Iâve picked up on certain hints that indicate a girl is very passionate about sex. Not every one of these women is the most financially successful in the club. Some are, but others may focus so much on the quality of the experience that they overlook factors like time and the money paid by the client.
Though itâs rare, there are times when they receive complaints from clients about being too loud or being more focused on their own pleasure than on the clientâs orgasm. Overall, however, these women are the kind of workers you really want to have in your club as a brothel manager.
Recently, I posted a series on clients' motivations for visiting brothels. Now, letâs take a closer look at sex workers' motivations. What may seem obvious can turn out to be a more complex and broader issue. If we say itâs just for the money, thatâs a very narrow statementâeveryone works for money. Think about yourself; would you do your job if you werenât being paid for it? Of course not. Yes, some of us are lucky enough to get paid for something that we enjoy, but does that apply to a cashier in a hypermarket or a factory worker? Many people actually do their jobs only for the money.
However, the motivations for women to become sex workers are, in fact, much broader. Hereâs a list of various motivations Iâve identified and named not so obviously, and in the coming days, Iâll explain and describe each category in detail:
1) Nymphomaniacs 2) Blond Ambition 3) Freedom First 4) Lazy Girls 5) Dreams Come True 6) Lady in Distress 7) Dangerous Adventures 8) Self-Confidence 9) Making People Happy 10) Nightlife addiction
I felt so embarrassed last night. Around five oâclock in the morning, I was called over to deal with a dru..nk client who claimed he had lost his wallet in a room with a girl. He didn't remember in which room he was, so it took us over 20 minutes to find the room. We finally located it; it was with a new Romanian girl, very shy, with limited English. She said she didnât know anything about the wallet, so we searched the room. We found it lying on the radiator, strangely covered by her jacket, but whatever. I asked him to check if everything was in order. He said it was fine, but I insisted he check it thoroughly.
After another look, he suddenly reported that all the cashâ400 eurosâwas missing. âI withdrew 500 from the ATM, paid her 100, so whereâs the rest??â I thought, oh no, here we go; this happens often enough. Clients spent the money, don't remember it and assume the girl stole it. I was confident the cash was still in one of his pockets, so I asked him to check the pockets again in front of us, but still nothing. So, I asked the girl to show me her wallet. She told me sheâd had a bad night with only one client before this guy, and she showed me the 200 euros she had in her wallet.
But then, when I took her handbag from the shelf, there it wasâthe missing 400 euros. I turned red with embarrassment. I quickly apologized to the client, and she gave him the money back. I told her to pack her things and come to my office. That was her last day working with us. If thereâs one thing I canât stand, itâs stealing and lying.
As you know, my full-time job is being a brothel manager, but my passion is studying for a PhD in psychology. Recently, I was invited to a conference, where I presented on both my job and my research on sex work and brothel management. I have to brag a little because I was treated almost like a superstar :))). Everyone seemed excited that I was the only one there with not only theoretical knowledgeâwhich is the case for most people in academiaâbut also a strong practical business background.
However, I had a funny argument with one of the academics. She insisted that science is much more important and accused me of âselling outâ to business, claiming Iâd betrayed science and academia. She argued that my academic work is more important than my business role because science has a greater impact on society. I had to smile (secretly) at her naivety. In the end, I asked her how many people actually read her last paper, which sheâd worked on for over six months and published in a academic journal. She had to admit that it was probably about 30â40 people.
"Cool," I said, and showed her my IG, where I often post reels with information from my research, with an average reach of 20 million people. Now, who has the bigger impact, my dear?
âHas the rise of platforms like OF affected the sex business in any wayâ
To be honest, OF has had zero effect on our business so far. I initially expected it might have some negative impact when it all started, but I was wrong. One assumption was that girls would prefer working online over in-person work. But so far, theyâre simply not interested in joining OF at all. Nowadays, there are many agencies trying to recruit girls. These agencies manage the profile, and the girls provide photos or videos, earning a percentage in return. Some of these agencies have even tried to contact our workers, but the girls have no interest.
As Iâve mentioned many times on my profile, the top earners in our club make around 50,000 euros per month. With agencies, girls usually earn only about 50% of their actual revenue, which wouldnât be nearly as profitable for our workers, as they can earn much more here.
As for clients, I donât see these two business models as competitive with each other. Visiting a brothel is a completely different experience compared to interacting with someone through OFâgoing to the club is often a social experience. Many guys come in groups, enjoy their time together, and treat it as a social event, whereas OF offers a more anonymous one-on-one experience, accessible anytime, anywhere, from the comfort of home.
So even though I initially predicted that OF might be detrimental to our "offline" business, I was quite wrong.
âDo sex workers undergo regular health tests â
That actually varies from country to country. In some places, the workers need to have monthly tests, while in others, testing is voluntary. A common issue with testing is that it can create false expectations of safety. Just because a worker was healthy three days ago doesn't mean they are healthy today. The incubation period for sexually transmitted diseases is usually around three months. So, the only 100% safe approach is to use condoms. Unfortunately, many clients request services without a condomâespecially oral sex. While the risk of contracting HIV through oral sex is extremely low, almost impossible, many clients rely on that fact. However, there are many other diseases that can be transmitted via oral sex more easily. They may not be fatal, but they are still unpleasant and best avoided.
So, the answer is simple: if you insist on safe sex with condoms, you have almost nothing to be concerned about. In my ten years of experience as a manager in this business, I don't recall any worker or client contracting HIV or any serious illness. But always rememberâif a worker is willing to provide a service without a condom, they have almost certainly done so with other clients before you.
In Europe, Halloween is a quieter, more reflective time compared to the lively traditions in the US. Instead of trick-or-treating or wild costumes, we usually go for casual nighttime walks with friends to enjoy the eerie atmosphere. Then, on November 1st or 2nd, we visit cemeteries to place flowers on the graves of loved onesâa tradition across much of the EU, where this season is more about honoring and remembering those who have passed.
But I have to admit, there's something I love about the American Halloween spirit, especially how, as Mean Girls puts it, it's "the one night of the year when a girl can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it!"
Human Connection â Other reasons besides having sex. It might be surprising for some people, but a lot of men come to brothels with no intention of having sex at all. They want to share deep emotions with someoneâdeep conversations that sometimes almost resemble psychotherapy. They just want to talk with someone: a friend, a psychologist, a soulmate. Sometimes they just want to be listened to. Other times, they need to have funny, meaningless conversations. Occasionally, they have very awkward requests.
Recently, we had a client who paid a lot of money for a girl to come with him outside of the club. They drove 50 miles in the middle of the night and arrived at a graveyard! Of course, the girl was a bit scared. The client brought her to the grave of his father. They had a cigarette, and after ten minutes, they just drove back. He then chose another girl and made the same drive. During the night, he did this three or four times with different girls. It makes you think there could be many strange reasons why someone would visit a brothel! đ
Exploring Sexuality â This motivation is quite new in the history of sex work and it is my favourite. A lot of men would like to try new things in sex, but for various reasons, they donât want to share this experience with their wives or girlfriends. Maybe his wife is too conservative, or perhaps he is shy or scared that she would condemn him for his fantasy of being fucked in the ass (which is among the top three fantasies of our visitors:) ). They might also fear that exploring such fantasies, like BDSM, could negatively affect their marriage.
Especially married men are often viewed as less experimental; they are supposed to be more conservative, but that couldnât be further from the truth. Men are as open to new sexual experiences as women are. Trying new sexual activities with a sex worker is a kind of safe way to explore without feeling embarrassed. I would even call this reason something like experiential gastronomy. Some people love trying or discovering new tastes in food. Why not in sex?
Economic Reasons â There are guys who wouldnât have a problem getting a wife at all; in fact, they are very successful in their professional careers, could be quite handsome, and are not shy. However, they are at a stage in their lives where they focus all their energy on their careers and are just not ready to have a family or even a relationship because they know they wouldnât be able to put in 100 percent. But of course, they still have sexual needs. These guys can find a girl for a one-night standâthey could go to a bar, use some dating apps, etc. They have probably done that in the past. However, their experience has shown them that itâs not very economicalâconsidering time, money, and the chance of failure, or even other potential problems, like the girl falling in love, etc. So, visiting brothels is just easierâthe chance of having sex is 100 percent, it's cheaper, and it saves time. It minimizes all the potential risks that a one-night stand could bring to the table :)
Substantial Reason â Simply put, a guy may not have any other opportunity for sex. Maybe his wife doesn't want to have sex with him anymore, or perhaps she can't due to medical conditions. He might not have a wife or girlfriend for various reasonsâlow self-esteem, feeling heâs not good-looking enough, or simply being bad at dating. It may seem like these men are losers, but that doesnât have to be the case. If his wife has serious reasons for not having sex, then itâs not his fault (nor is it his wife's faultâitâs nobodyâs fault). We also have some clients who are handicapped. These individuals have sexual needs, just like anyone else, but their opportunities are limited. Overall, the substantial reason means that sex workers substitute for the lack of other sexual opportunities. This reason has been dominant for at least the last two or three centuriesâŠ
A simple question, but with a surprisingly complex answer. So, Iâll make this topic a series of posts. There have been many reasons throughout human history for visiting sex workers, but if we focus on just the last 200 years, the main motivation was often more substitutional, serving as a replacement for something that is missing. In recent decades, that has changed a lot, and there are now many more reasons why men come to brothels. In the next few posts, Iâll try to give you brief insights into the main reasons Iâve noticed while working in the business for the last eight years.
As a spoiler, Iâll reveal them now:
1) Substitution for something that is missing 2) Economic reasons 3) Exploring sexuality 4) Human connection â non-sexual reasons 5) Making love
As a manager, I face this dilemma with our girls. Basically, we have two types of girls. The first type I would call 'Machines.' These girls usually provide what I call a 'fast food' service. It's a very mechanical experienceâalmost no emotions, just a quick, mechanical job. Shower, quick blowjob, quick sex service (usually doggy style, no position changes), hand job at the end. 'Donât touch me there, donât kiss me, hurry up because you have 5 minutes leftâŠ' With them, the customers pay for half an hour, but itâs actually not more than 20 minutes (with the shower included) and then goodbye. In this way, the girls are able to serve 20-plus customers every night, just like that.
Then we have the girls I would call the 'Real Courtesans,' who offer a much more complex serviceâsomething like the girlfriend experience. They are kind, seductive, sexy, and emotional, and they usually spend a few hours with a client. You donât have to guess which ones are my favourite girlsâno doubt about it :)
But here comes the dilemmaâin terms of average income, the 'Machines' are way more profitable. The top Machines can easily make 50-60 thousand euros per month. Thatâs a lot of money, making it hard for me to tell them they should change their approach. Their answer is obvious: 'Why should I change something thatâs working for me?'
The 'Real Courtesans' arenât even close to these payouts. They can barely reach 30 thousand euros. There are very few exceptions who make more. So, now what? Iâve had this dilemma in our club for many years. Of course, Iâm aware that the Machines arenât so good for the club âtheir clients rarely come back and are often disappointed. But strictly from a business standpoint, they are here to make money, and theyâre making a lot. Not just for a few monthsâtheyâve been working like this for years and still making such a profit. Telling them they should change and make less income is one of the hardest parts of my job.
đ This is the current situation: Me, books, and the planning of a really cool project đ
I finally got approval from my university's ethics committee for research on European sex work. This means that over the next year and a half, Iâll be travelling to various countries where sex work is legal, illegal, or semi-legal, and Iâll be conducting interviews with sex workers.
Would you be interested in reading some parts of the interviews in the meantime before I publish them?
If there were a World Championship in sexwork, the winners would be Romanians. Almost in every club in Europe, they dominateâmore than 80 % of the girls in a club are Romanians. Second place goes to Bulgarians. Strangely, for some mysterious reason, we have almost none of them in our club, though I know they are in many other clubs and also work a lot on the streets.
Third place goes to Nigerian girls, followed by girls from some Eastern European countriesâSlovakia, Poland, and the Czechia. Then come Portuguese, Spanish, Austrian, German, and Brazilian girls. From time to time, you can meet a girl from Scandinavia. Strangely enough, girls from the former Yugoslavia are notably missing, even though they are very beautiful.
And what is even stranger is that, after eight years in the business, I have never met a girl from Britain! But I am still waiting. I would love to hear that cool Liverpool accent in our club. đ
đž Who else tried to learn to play the guitar and failed enormously? đž
When I was 20, I decided that it would be really cool to learn how to play the guitar, so I bought myself a second-hand guitar. My ultimate goal was to learn how to play "Money Talks" by AC/DC. Well, I bought the guitar and expected it to be easy, but unsurprisingly, I ended up with not having a single clue what to do :))) I managed to learn a few chords, and that was it. It has been ten years now, and I am still not able to play "Money Talks," but Iâm still keeping the guitar because what if one day I miraculously wake up and can play it? :))
đ Winning by TKO - discuss with radical feminist đ
Once again, I was a guest on a local radio station to discuss the topic of the sex industry. My opponent was a radical feminist. It was almost hilarious. At one point, she said she might be okay with it if a woman did the job, but only if she fully enjoyed working with her clients. She insisted that the job shouldnât be done solely for the money.
I couldnât hold back and told her: âSo, basically, youâre saying that if a person doesnât enjoy their job according to your standards, youâd ban them from doing it? Like a woman working behind the cash register at Carrefourâif sheâs doing it just for the money and doesnât fully enjoy scanning the items, should she be out of a job? Of course, in any profession, itâs a huge plus if someone loves their work. But shouldnât we leave that decision in the hands of individuals? I donât want to put myself in the position of deciding if someoneâs motivation is 'correct' or not. How would you even enforce that? Install a camera in the room and analyse if a sexworker is faking an orgasm or genuinely enjoying it?â
There was a long pause of silence from my opponent, so they quickly put some music on the airâŠ
Last night we had a client who came to fulfill his biggest sexual dreamâbeing with a group of women. He took 19 women (!!!) into the room. Luckily, for such cases, we have one mega-big room, but even in that room, it was really crowded.
He also set a special goal for his missionâevery woman had to have an orgasm at least once. So he spent about 10 hours there. When I saw him leaving in the morning, he was totally exhausted but smiling happily. Well, itâs not an easy job satisfying one woman, let alone 19! I asked some of the girls in the morning if they had faked their orgasms, but they actually replied, âNo way⊠we wanted him to stay as long as possible.â :)
